1852-OAKDALE RANCH- Esparto (Yolo County) California

Located South of Cache Creek, the Stephens Brothers (John D. Stephens and George D. Stephens) built in 1852 an “Adobe Grainery,” which later was converted into a “Homestead”- living quarters for the two Stephens Brothers and their families.

The July 1, 2025 Esparto “Fireworks Explosion”- occurred across the diretly aacross the road-in Esparto (YOLO County).

Thus, the resulting Fire was named the OAKDALE FIRE- Esparto (Yolo County) California.

Resulting from the fire- “spot fires” caused much damage to the OAKDALE RANCH owned orchards and fields. No reported damage to the original “Adobe Homestead.”
